The series ‘Bonding Rooms’ examines the dynamics of human attachment in a scientific context. The work was inspired by the research of British psychiatrist John Bowlby (1907 – 1990) and Canadian developmental psychologist Mary Ainsworth (1913 – 1999). Their research informed the concept that people have different attachment styles (e.g. secure, anxious, avoidant, disorganised).
