‘Memory Screens’ is a word play on ‘screen memories’, a concept first introduced by the controversial Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist Sigmund Freud. These works examine the formative influence of past experiences on visual memories and imagination. Memory Screen #1 is a meditation on the symbolic and spiritual contrast between ultramarine blue and visceral bodies.
